Juliana A.Khalil, B.Eng., MBA
With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University and an MBA from HEC, Juliana has worked in industrial engineering, quality and process optimization in major companies such as General Motors and Pratt Whitney Canada. She also held the position of Chief Operating Officer in a Montreal start-up where she deployed operational systems. An expert in Business Strategies at Investissement Québec, she has assisted several companies in business practice solutions. She founded Progrès Conseils in 2003 and provides SMEs with her knowledge of operational management, business strategies, process improvement and optimization, process mapping, Lean concepts, project management and more.
Elie A.Khalil, MSc., MBA
An organic chemist by training, Elie began his career in drug discovery research where he contributed, for 10 years, to the development of several drugs, particularly in oncology. In 2004, he obtained an MBA degree from HEC and founded the company Elkimia whose mission was to advance the development of technologies and products that have a direct impact on the improvement of human health. This was the case for the discovery and commercialization of new UV light protective agents. Elie is extremely proud that Elkimia products are used by major cosmetic brands and the consumer benefits from it. Elie leverages his expertise in coaching, mentoring, RD project management, business management, business development, public and private financing, legal aspects, and the process of bringing innovation from RD to commercialization.
